This was a fun commission!

When I moved to Colorado 2 years ago I did a winter scene series focusing on snowflakes, orbs, mountains and trees. I recently finished this commission revisiting that genre. Keep scrolling to see the progression.

"Moon Dance" is an iconic original oil painting I created early in my career on Maui and it's now available for you to own.
A private collection inspired by Henri Matisse's, "The Dance."
My influence and focus was on the femininity of Polynesian women and their culture. Dancing on a beach, under the moonlight, enjoying a cool summer's eve.

Amongst Henri Matisse's most famous works, Dance is an ode to life, joy and physical abandonment. The composition of dancing figures is commonly recognized as "a key point of Matisse's career and in the development of modern painting."

Here is a photo of my five year old self in Kindergarten. I painted a mural of my dad skiing Heavenly Valley in Tahoe. 
I have always loved painting, ever since I can remember.

I had the most wonderful teacher from Bijou Elementary School named Mrs.Young. She would allow me to spend hours a day painting, and encouraged me to be an artist. She gave me extra time in class to make clay sculptures and murals while other kids studied different subjects. She changed my life and I am forever grateful!
