I have been working on merging contemporary artwork with surfboard construction with the help of master shaper David Gott. I’m in love with the process of working with beautiful tints and resins, layering them into the foam.
It is like alchemy--you take two seemingly unrelated crafts, blend them together, and something totally different--and altogether amazing-- ensues. I am still caught by surprise by the feeling of joy I experience when the finished piece emerges.
