For me, this painting has everything to do with being a wahine. It’s about two Polynesian women in the tropical rainforest having a heart to heart. One woman listening and the other woman giving advice. I love the leafy patterned background with a Matisse like cut out influence. The plush ground they sit on allows the women a comfortable place to lie while connecting through conversation.

* Painting includes a solid wood floating frame, adding a rich element to bring out the skin tones of the wahine. You can also see what the painting would look like without a frame should you prefer that look.
